"Drip"
I find this photo to be very dynamic and creative. This photo sort of happened by accident but a happy accident. I like the placement of the droplets in this picture because the part of the picture where it show the ripples in the water hitting the bottom of the screen it makes it look really cool and creative because it leaves just the right amount of room for the ripples. The focal point of the picture is very prominent, and your eye always goes to the droplets and I think that is a sign of a good picture I feel like its not too busy or over bearing for the eye but the perfect amount of light and attention to detail as well
The picture in a way progresses from the hard steel foreground to the crisp droplets to the blurred ripples that have a great affect on the picture and makes it look full and fulfilled. This picture was achieved by holding the shutter button until I thought I had a good shot and took it, I did not think that it was going to work out because I was just playing around with my shutter speeds, but it turned out really well and ended up being my favorite photo from the "Motion Photo shoot" .
I also like this photo for the lighting in it, I think that the lighting is just right to that the droplets look black on some parts and gave the ripples a really cool affect of the wavy type feel. Also the steel of the sink on the side and how the lighting just illuminates it a little bit, and makes it look like sort of a focal point but the eyes always go back to the trickle of water. "Chapped"
I chose this picture because it just turned out the best. The lips and Maddie's facial expression is perfect for the lip formation. The picture tot me is well done because the lips are in the fore ground of the picture with Maddie a little bit darker in the back but still look like a whole. The elements of this picture like lighting, being that some of the lighting is darker and some of the lighting is slightly lighter give the picture the rustic sort of feel.
The placement of this picture I think adds to it, there is no noise behind it and the red background really compliments the red lips nicely, making for a sharper image. The red background also gives the lips and extra pop and makes them stand out against the white background of the photo. I also think that The way that everything is so symmetrical in the picture like Maddies hands are perfectly balanced in the picture and how the lips in the picture are right in the center makes the image look really put together.
For this picture the shutter speed had to be quite high to allow certain lighting, and the camera had to be set to the landscape option therefore making everything in focus. This was taking in a gym not allowing much light in, the picture could have been brighter but I am okay with the way that it turned out. As for the end product I think it looks creative and enticing at the same time.
